Participate in our Internship Matching Program (IMP)

Interested in an internship with one of our members?

The Internship Matching Program is for you.

The IMP is a structured internship initiative that connects college and graduate students with Dallas Housing Coalition (DHC) member organizations. Students apply through DHC and are matched with member organizations based on their interests and areas of focus.

This is a three-month, part-time (10-20 hours/week) internship program designed to recruit and train students by providing hands-on experience in their professional fields. Eligibility is open to college students, graduate students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining professional experience.

Matching Process

  1. Host organizations submit internship descriptions and desired qualifications. Students submit applications via email to DHC.

  2. DHC staff review and verify applications before presenting 3 qualified candidates to host organizations to consider and interview.

  3. Host organizations select their first, second, and third preferences and let DHC staff know if any of the candidates are not a fit.

  4. Final pairings are confirmed by both the prospective intern and host organizations as soon as possible.

  5. DHC staff host an orientation, mid-summer check-ins, and an end-of-summer celebration for all DHC IMP participants.
